Final Project — Advanced Website Design
Fall 2026 · AMDE 355 Advanced Web Design
Complete and refine the website you have developed this semester. Your final should demonstrate advanced layout, responsive design, visual consistency, and appropriate interactivity. Do not start over unless your instructor has approved a new direction.
Your website may use multiple pages or a substantial single-page structure, depending on your concept. There is no arbitrary page-count requirement.
Project stages
1. Audit your existing site
List unfinished sections, broken links, layout issues, and features you plan to improve.
2. Complete the structure
Use semantic HTML, consistent navigation, readable content, and a clear visual hierarchy.
3. Apply advanced CSS
Use Grid or Flexbox intentionally; refine typography, spacing, color, and responsive layouts.
4. Integrate enhancements
Implement at least three meaningful enhancements, including one responsive or interactive feature. Reuse and adapt examples from the Enhancement Lab.
5. Test and revise
Test desktop and mobile, keyboard navigation, image alternatives, contrast, and reduced-motion support where relevant.
6. Publish and submit
Provide a working website URL, source files or repository/CodePen links, and a short reflection.
